We suggest that you plan your  journey by consulting thetraffic forecasts, avoiding travelling at times when a black alert, i.e. critical traffic, is expected.

we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of efficiency on the A22, which can accommodate around 3,300 vehicles per hour per driving direction. To ensure smooth traffic flow during the summer, we restrict roadworks to night-time hours, reduce the number of entry lanes to avoid congestion and exploit all resources to the full. Despite our efforts, congestion and queues can occur. We trust in your understanding and invite you to check our traffic forecasts before leaving and to follow our information channels during your journey to always stay updated and enjoy a peaceful vacation:
