Dear travellers,
We suggest that you plan your  journey by consulting thetraffic forecasts, avoiding travelling at times when a black alert, i.e. critical traffic, is expected.

Although we strive to guarantee high levels of efficiency, the A22 motorway capacity can accommodate approximately 3,300 vehicles per hour in each direction. In order to maintain traffic flow during summer time, we suspend all roadworks, reduce the number of entry lanes to ease congestion and exploit all resources to the full. Unfortunately, despite all these measures, it is not always possible to prevent traffic jams.
