The Traffic managers travel alongside you

The travellers’ “guardian angels”. They wear a yellow uniform, drive vans equipped to provide first aid, are coordinated by the CAU (User Assistance Centre) and reach the location of the call in 7 minutes, on average.

The Autobrennero Traffic Managers are 80, stationed in the 6 CSA (Motorway Safety Centres) spaced along the motorway at distances of 50 km; more than 14.000 roadside assistance operations are carried out in a year, with an average of approximately 64.000 hours of patrol.

These significant figures show how the Traffic managers are indispensable for all what concerns road safety, from prevention - patrol, infrastructure inspections (tunnels, viaducts, signs, lights, guardrails, metal fencings, etc.), overseeing along the motorway and services provided at entrance points, service areas and car parks - to intervention - queues, car accidents, warnings, natural disasters (weather).

Thanks to the CAU, connected to the 231 video cameras monitoring the highway, the Traffic managers are the first ones to be informed and coordinated in order to intervene and organise what is necessary to the other forces - such as the roadside assistance service, emergency aid and the firefighters.
