Autostrada del Brennero is the concessionaire that manages the A22, a strategic motorway infrastructure for Italian and European transport. The A22 is 314 km long, linking Modena to the Brenner Pass and crossing through the Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino-South Tyrol regions along one of Europe’s main north-south transport corridors. It represents a vital link between northern Italy and central Europe, ensuring continuity, efficiency and safety for the movement of people and goods.

The company’s missionis “To ensure the highest efficiency of the motorway service from the Brenner Pass to Modena through increasingly safe, digital and green transport, by constantly investing in maintenance, modernisation, renewable energy and new services”.

Governance

The governance structure of Autostrada del Brennero reflects the predominant non-controlling public shareholding in the company: 84.75% of the share capital is held by public bodies, 14.16% by private stakeholders and 1.09% by the Company itself.

The management of the company is entrusted to the Board of Directors, supported by the Executive Committee, while the Board of Statutory Auditors exercises control and supervisory functions.

This governance model ensures transparency, accountability and managerial efficiency, in line with the public nature of the concession and the Company’s commitment to the regions through which the infrastructure passes.
