Areas of intervention
The projects planned by Autostrada del Brennero aim to upgrade the infrastructure to make traffic flow smoother and safer while improving connections with the motorway network and intermodal hubs.
A significant portion of the investment is dedicated to expanding the capacity of the motorway corridor via the construction of a third carriageway between Verona and the junction with the A1, and the upgrading of dynamic traffic management systems on the Bolzano–Verona section.
Alongside these infrastructure projects, the Company is developing advanced technological systems based on sensors, digital infrastructure and ITS systems, also with a view to the transition towards connected and autonomous driving, that will increase safety, efficiency and the capacity for real-time traffic management.
Further investments focus on strengthening links with strategic areas of the Po Valley, including the Campogalliano–Sassuolo link and the development of the Cispadana Regional Motorway, to promote greater integration between the region’s infrastructure and logistics systems.
