Engineering and Operations
The collaboration between design activities, works supervision, operational personnel and safety centres makes it possible to combine maintenance, innovation and efficiency, transforming every intervention into an investment in infrastructure quality and safer mobility.
Behind the efficiency of the Brenner Motorway operates a technical structure made up of engineers, surveyors, technicians, specialised workers and road assistance personnel, who work every day to ensure the safety and full functionality of the infrastructure.
Engineers and surveyors design interventions, monitor the condition of bridges, viaducts, tunnels and technical installations, and coordinate routine and major maintenance activities, ensuring that every structure is managed and maintained according to the highest technical and safety standards.
A fundamental role is played by the six Motorway Safety Centres (CSAs), distributed along the entire Brenner route. From these facilities, road assistance personnel, technicians and specialised workers operate on a daily basis to inspect the infrastructure, carry out maintenance activities, prepare worksite signage and ensure the continuous operation of the motorway network in all seasons, including snow clearance and anti-icing operations. The CSAs represent the operational backbone of the motorway and allow rapid intervention along the entire route, contributing to maintaining high levels of safety and continuity of service.
The Technical Structure also coordinates external companies involved in works along the A22, planning activities to ensure that construction sites are managed under the highest safety conditions for both workers and road users.
