Road works schedule

This section refers to articles 5, 6 and 7 of the New Highway Code (Legislative Decree no. 285 of 30.04.1992), which grant the concessionaire, upon prior notification to the Granting Authority, the power to establish by ordinance temporary or permanent obligations, prohibitions and restrictions for the motorway or sections of it, or for specific categories of users, in relation to traffic requirements or the structural characteristics of the road, and to the Regulation for the implementation and execution of the New Highway Code approved by Presidential Decree no. 495 on 16.12.1992.

To minimise inconvenience to users, Autostrada del Brennero schedules maintenance works according to an annual calendar, taking traffic forecasts into account. In periods of higher traffic volume (weekends in January and February; Easter; Ascension/Pentecost/Corpus Domini; summer months of June, July, August and September; Immaculate Conception; Christmas), the Company does not authorise works requiring carriageway crossovers (south/north) or reductions of traffic and overtaking lanes (except during night hours). Exceptions are made for urgent works aimed at restoring road safety conditions or, in any case, for unpredictable events (e.g. persistent adverse weather conditions and emergency maintenance).
