Conference to mark the 60th anniversary
On 20 February 2019, to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of Autostrada del Brennero, a conference was held at the PalaRotari in Mezzocorona dedicated to the sixty-year history of the motorway and the regions traversed by the A22, from the Brenner Pass to Modena.
The event provided an opportunity to discuss the future challenges facing European mobility, with special focus on innovation, sustainability, and the development of transport infrastructure.
During the conference, the distinctive nature of Autostrada del Brennero emerged in being a company founded on the initiative of local authorities and still characterised today by a predominantly public shareholding, albeit not a controlling one, with 84.7% of the share capital held by local public bodies. Over time, this characteristic has helped to strengthen the company’s ties with the regions it passes through and with local communities.
