The investment plan devised to finance the Autostrada del Brennero project to turn the A22 in the first European Green Corridor also focuses on boosting electric charging stations. While polluting emissions are caused by the vehicles driving on the motorway, Autobrennero wants to contribute to the decarbonisation of transport which is occurring around the world. Installing a widespread network of charging stations on the motorway will drive e-mobility and contribute to the goal the European Union has set to slash net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030.
Electric energy on the A22 is used to reduce the environmental footprint and sound pollution in the the road transport industry.
The company has placed charging stations for refrigerator trucks at
Sadobre Vipiteno car park,
Trento Nord Interporto car park and
Rovereto Sud service station.
The service is a sustainable service to diesel generators in HGV rest areas.
